Redefining true friendship

They say "A true friend is someone who you can call anytime... just to laugh, cry, complain or tell silly stories... and still listens". Agree? Of course.

But if a friend doesn't or can't do all the above at a certain time, when you feel you need them the most,  it doesn't make them less of a true friend. You are not a true friend yourself if you don't understand that the other one has their own life, problems, worries, and that they need their time and space once in a while, without involving you.

Everybody needs to breath and mind their own business and cannot be 24/7 there for you, no matter what you do, no matter what they do.
And again, that doesn't mean that your friend is not a true friend, or that they don't love you or care for you anymore.

It all has to be both-sided: feelings, respect, understanding, care, even if sometimes it might be more difficult to understand.

Just a thought...
